| Are you tired of spending big money on handgun ammunition that you can't return and then hoping that it feeds and functions correctly in your gun, your gun likes it well enough to shoot tight groups, it produces tolerable recoil, and it shoots to point of aim?
We all know guns usually shoot some ammo well and other ammo poorly. Typically shooters have to buy at least 20 rounds of a single type of usually pricey ammunition, only to often discover within firing the first few rounds that their gun doesn't like that particular load. Most of that ammo then winds up gathering dust, and your money goes down the drain.
But now you can find accurate and powerful ammo for a fraction of the money you'd spend buying numerous full boxes of different ammunition. Our innovative, economical sample-pack system lets you test custom-grade ammo manufactured by Littlestone Ammunition. For less than you'd pay for a single box of most decent ammo, you can test up to five of Littlestone Ammunition's different custom loadings of various bullet types and weights.
Try some of Littlestone Ammunition's 20- or 50-round sample packs today. Then, when you find the load you're looking for, you can buy a supply knowing it will do the job for you instead of just hoping it will.
This is a 50-round sample pack loaded with five bullets:
- Ten rounds loaded with 270-grain Speer Gold Dot Deep Curl Soft Point bullets. Gold Dot bonded bullets manufactured in three basic steps. First the core receives the bonded jacket; next an oversize hollow point cavity is installed with predetermined expansion folds; and lastly the final cavity shape and volume are set for the optimum performance for the cartridge and intended use. The bonded construction provides exceptional weight retention, which promotes penetration. The soft point bullet is a good choice when deeper penetration on game is desired than that typically produced by the hollow point, which is a good choice for small to medium thin-skinned game. Starline nickel-plated brass cases. Starline nickel-plated brass.
- Ten rounds loaded with 300-grain Hornady XTP bullets. The Hornady XTP offers controlled expansion and deep penetration over a high and broad velocity range, from 1,200 to 2,300 feet per second. The Hornady XTP is formed from a copper jacket over a lead core. The XTP, which stands for eXtreme Terminal Performance, is regarded as an accurate bullet with good performance over a broad range of velocities. It is produced in several versions for different applications. The basic XTP is a hollow point design engineered with skives to promote controlled expansion, typically about 1.5 times the bullets original diameter. It offers controlled expansion and deep penetration. Recommended velocities range from 700 to 1,500 feet per second. Starline nickel-plated brass cases.
Ten rounds loaded with 300-grain Speer Uni-Cor Soft Point bullets. The Uni-Cor is a bonded, deeply penetrating bone-crushing bullet and is a good choice when the maximum penetration is sought. It behaves much like a hard cast lead bullet, in that expansion is sacrificed for penetration. Starline nickel-plated brass cases.
- Ten rounds loaded with 300-grain Cast Performance Wide Flat Nose Gas Checked bullets. Cast Performance bullets are lead bullets molded from Lead Bullet Technology (LBT) style molds. They are cast from virgin alloy and hardened to a Brinell Hardness of 18-21. They penetrate deeply and do not fragment on bone. LBT style heat-treated solids are rapidly becoming the standard by which all others compare handgun-hunting bullets. This design of bullet does not depend on expansion as do soft point and hollow point bullets, but in fact the performance level achieved by the LBT design is far superior to conventional bullets. The degree of penetration reported by some of our customers with these bullets is truly remarkable, including full-length passage from end to end on some larger hogs. They don't lead the bore and have been driven as fast as 3,100 fps without causing leading. Starline brass cases.
- 10 Rounds loaded with 320-grain Cast Performance Wide Long Nose Gas Checked bullets. This bullet offers deeper penetration than the 300-grain Wide Nose version, but its flight trajectory is not quite as flat. Starline brass cases.
